Why this pick
Shelton’s similarly intimate, improvisation-shaped chamber drama finds tenderness and friction in a small group of emotionally stranded adults, with dry humour and a naturalistic Pacific Northwest ease.
Why this pick
Another Lynn Shelton relationship comedy, built from awkward candour rather than big plot turns; it shares Touchy Feely’s interest in bodily discomfort, friendship, and the unpredictable ways people test intimacy.
Why this pick
Its loose, observant style and unresolved romantic tension closely suit Touchy Feely’s low-key emotional realism, letting attraction, avoidance, and everyday conversation carry the drama.
Why this pick
For a more lyrical counterpart, this traces love through coincidence, distance, and physical longing with an offbeat emotional texture that echoes Touchy Feely’s fascination with connection that cannot be easily controlled.
Why this pick
A gentle, sharply funny portrait of siblings reconnecting through private pain. Its compassionate focus on emotional awkwardness and small acts of care fits Touchy Feely’s humane, unforced tone.
