SIMILAR PICKS / A PERSONAL CONNECTION
01
Why this pick
Like TerrorVision, it turns an ordinary suburban home into a playground for a ravenous, rubbery alien creature, with scrappy effects, lively young characters, and gleeful video-era monster-movie energy.
02
Why this pick
Its cosmic parasites, teen heroes, B-movie abundance, and knowingly playful horror tone make it a natural companion to TerrorVision’s colorful extraterrestrial gross-out chaos.
03
Why this pick
For TerrorVision’s goofy alien-in-the-suburbs appeal, this offers small, foolish extraterrestrials blundering through Halloween-night America with similarly broad, effects-forward charm.
04
Why this pick
It shares TerrorVision’s blend of suburban family disruption, hungry alien monsters, practical creature effects, and a comic tone that treats its mayhem as a party rather than pure dread.
05
Why this pick
Its alien invasion, proudly gooey handmade effects, and manic bad-taste humor match the DIY exuberance behind TerrorVision, though with a more splattery and anarchic edge.

01 / THE STORY
On an alien planet named Pluton, an alien garbage disposal converts a monstrous mutant called a Hungry Beast into energy and beams it into space. Meanwhile, on Earth, the Putterman family is getting satellite television, courtesy of a temperamental DIY satellite antenna. The reception is poor at first, but suddenly strengthens when a bolt of the alien energy hits the dish.
