Its warm, teasing comedy of friendship and romantic rivalry has the same unhurried, human-scale charm and affection for flawed, scheming characters as Shaukeen.
Why this pick
Basu Chatterjee brings the same light observational touch to courtship, family interference, and everyday urban awkwardness, with comedy rooted in character rather than broad plotting.
Why this pick
Its comic complications arise from ordinary people making increasingly impractical choices, delivering the same amiable mix of mischief, embarrassment, and generous humour.
Why this pick
This playful relationship farce shares Shaukeen’s fondness for misguided male schemes, social pretence, and escalating comic discomfort without losing its warmth.
Why this pick
A breezy comedy of deception and improvised personas, it matches the pleasure of Shaukeen’s character-driven silliness and polished, conversational comic timing.

01 / THE STORY
The movie revolves around three old men. Ashok Lalwani alias Lali, (Anupam Kher) is not happy with his wife (Rati Agnihotri), who is a staunch believer of God and doesn't spend time with him. Kamaldheer Sharma alias KD (Annu Kapoor) is a bachelor for some unknown reason, while Pinky (Piyush Mishra) is secretly in love with a young Chinese woman, who only knows English language but he himself being uneducated, is unable to express his feelings. The three men plan a holiday to Mauritius to have some fun, where they meet Ahana (Lisa Haydon), who is a social networking addict and gets annoyed because her rival girls have more Facebook likes and her ex-boyfriend had been commenting and liking their posts and condemning her at the same time.
