Why this pick
A warm, impeccably timed comedy of elaborate impersonations and language-based mischief, with the same affectionate, unhurried charm and ensemble precision that make Gol Maal so buoyant.
Why this pick
Its gentle middle-class setting, escalating deceptions and wonderfully deadpan performances offer a close match for Gol Maal’s humane humour and farcical rhythm.
Why this pick
A playful clash between rigid rules and irrepressible spontaneity, delivered with the same cosy domestic atmosphere, comic timing and emotional generosity.
Why this pick
Less farcical but equally light on its feet, this warm household comedy finds humour in everyday frictions while retaining Gol Maal’s deep affection for its characters.
Why this pick
A joyous, broad musical farce built around performance, romantic scheming and comic rivalry; its exuberant ensemble play complements Gol Maal’s love of theatrical pretence.
