Why this pick
Like Rang Birangi, it turns domestic routines into buoyant, character-led comedy, using a spirited outsider to unsettle a respectable household and revive its emotional warmth.
Why this pick
A gently funny urban relationship comedy with the same observational touch: everyday courtship, family pressures and misunderstandings are handled with warmth rather than melodrama.
Why this pick
Its shy romance and playful social maneuvering share Rang Birangi’s light, middle-class texture, where comic schemes expose insecurities without losing affection for anyone involved.
Why this pick
This intimate Mumbai-set marital comedy finds humor in the practical chaos surrounding a newlywed couple, balancing domestic frustration with the humane, low-key charm of Rang Birangi.
Why this pick
For Rang Birangi’s taste for escalating pretence, this is a sharper farce built on an ordinary young man’s increasingly elaborate deception, delivered with breezy comic timing.
