Why this pick
Like Final Exam, this is a lean early-’80s campus slasher built around isolated students, an unseen killer, and steadily mounting dread rather than elaborate mythology.
Why this pick
Another period campus-set chiller, pairing college-life unease with a masked-killer threat and a deliberately paced build toward violent confrontations.
Why this pick
This shares Final Exam’s 1981 slasher texture: students cut off from safety, a shadowy threat, and a simple, tense night-of-survival framework.
Why this pick
A grim collegiate slasher with a similarly direct approach to stalk-and-kill tension, using campus spaces and student vulnerability as its main source of unease.
Why this pick
For the same raw early-’80s slasher mood, it offers an anonymous killer, young people trapped in a nighttime celebration, and sharply sustained pursuit scenes.
