Why this pick
Its graceful period surface and carefully controlled pacing create the same kind of elegant, disquieting horror, where family warmth and cultivated appearances conceal a steadily deepening unease.
Why this pick
A sensual, psychologically charged early-1970s chiller, driven less by shocks than by forbidden attraction, manipulation, and an atmosphere of decadent threat.
Why this pick
Its stylish European imagery and erotic Gothic mood echo the favourite’s adult, seductive approach to horror, with relationships becoming the source of escalating dread.
Why this pick
Another refined 1970s supernatural nightmare, it patiently turns a family’s tempting escape into claustrophobic domestic horror through mood, unease, and disorienting psychological pressure.
