The Last Seduction
Why this pick
A sleek, poisonous neo-noir driven by erotic power games, cynical dialogue and a femme fatale who stays several moves ahead—ideal if Body Heat’s humid, morally compromised seduction appealed.

Why this pick
A sleek, poisonous neo-noir driven by erotic power games, cynical dialogue and a femme fatale who stays several moves ahead—ideal if Body Heat’s humid, morally compromised seduction appealed.
Why this pick
Its small-town adultery and murder plot tightens into a darkly funny nightmare, sharing Body Heat’s sense that desire makes ordinary people dangerously overconfident.
Why this pick
The essential template for Body Heat: illicit attraction, a rich husband, a murder scheme and razor-sharp fatalism, delivered with shadowy elegance rather than Florida sweat.
Why this pick
Another sun-baked neo-noir where a drifter’s affair with a married woman entangles him in crime; its languid heat and escalating bad decisions closely echo Body Heat.
Why this pick
For Body Heat’s adult erotic charge and witty criminal world: this is cooler and more playful, but its magnetic cat-and-mouse romance has the same polished neo-noir pulse.

01 / THE STORY
During a particularly intense Florida heatwave, inept lawyer Ned Racine begins an affair with Matty, the wife of wealthy businessman, Edmund Walker. One night Ned arrives at the Walker mansion and playfully propositions a woman who he mistakenly thinks is Matty. The woman is Mary Ann Simpson, Matty's visiting high school friend. Soon after, Matty tells Ned she wants to divorce Edmund, but their prenuptial agreement would leave her with little money. Eventually Ned suggests murdering Edmund so Matty can inherit his wealth. He consults a shady former client, Teddy Lewis, an expert on incendiary devices, who supplies Ned with a bomb, though he strongly encourages Ned to abandon whatever he is scheming.
