Why this pick
A warmer, more romantic time-loop story that shares Before I Fall’s repeated-day structure and gradual moral awakening, while focusing on small moments that gain emotional weight through repetition.
Why this pick
Its self-absorbed heroine is forced to relive one escalating day, pairing a sharp transformation arc with suspenseful momentum and a playful, darker genre edge.
Why this pick
Another teen-centered reset-day premise, with awkward social consequences and a protagonist learning to reconsider how he treats the people around him.
Why this pick
It lacks the supernatural device but closely matches the intimate high-school setting, acerbic voice, messy friendships, and a flawed young woman forced toward empathy.
Why this pick
Its loop mechanics become a vehicle for unexpected connection and confronting emotional avoidance, delivering the same satisfying blend of repetition, consequence, and self-redefinition in a more adult setting.

01 / THE STORY
Samantha Kingston wakes on February 12, known as Cupid's Day. She is picked up by her friends, Queen bee (sociology) Lindsay, Allie and Elody, who are excited about Sam's plans to lose her virginity to her boyfriend Rob that night. During class, when her teacher is lecturing on Sisyphus, students distribute roses, with Sam getting one from Rob and another from a boy named Kent, a former grade school friend who is in love with her. Kent invites her to a party at his house, but she is unenthusiastic. During lunch the girls make fun of Juliet, an outsider girl who they view as a "psycho". At the party, Juliet shows up. Lindsay confronts her and the two fight, with Juliet leaving in tears. As they are driving back from the party, the car hits something and crashes, apparently killing Sam.
