Why this pick
Lelouch reunites Anne and Jean-Louis in a reflective continuation that preserves the original’s melodic, cinematic romanticism while considering time, memory, and unresolved attachment.

Its heightened musical form differs, but its colour, rain-soaked longing, and bittersweet view of love shaped by circumstance closely echo the emotional elegance of Lelouch’s romance.
Why this pick
A more intense and darker adult love story, distinguished by intimate performances, suburban melancholy, and a restrained French style that lets history between two people carry the tension.
