Why this pick
A cold, body-horror corporate nightmare about identity being invaded through technology; its clinical imagery and fractured subjectivity strongly echo Videodrome’s transmission-induced delirium.
Why this pick
Its abrasive industrial soundscape, manic black-and-white visual attack and violent human-machine transformation make it an ideal match for Videodrome’s feverish bodily corruption.
Why this pick
For Videodrome’s fascination with images as physical, political forces: this dense audiovisual collage turns damaged footage, sound and montage into an intentionally disorienting assault.
Why this pick
A slippery corporate-tech thriller steeped in online exploitation, surveillance and mediated desire, with the same sense that screens conceal a corrupting hidden system.
