Why this pick
Like The Discovery, it uses a quiet science-fiction premise to examine grief, regret, and the longing to undo a life-altering choice, with an intimate, melancholy rather than spectacle-driven tone.
Why this pick
Its emotionally serious blend of scientific inquiry and spiritual possibility closely matches The Discovery’s interest in whether empirical evidence can transform love, loss, and personal belief.
Why this pick
From the same director, this is another restrained, unsettling relationship drama built around a high-concept mystery, moral unease, and carefully controlled revelations.
Why this pick
Its cool, existential atmosphere and quietly surreal vision of a life stripped of meaning make it a strong fit for The Discovery’s philosophical melancholy and uneasy social implications.
Why this pick
A hushed, elegant speculative drama about memory and bereavement, it shares The Discovery’s preference for intimate ethical questions over technological spectacle.
