Why this pick
A tightly controlled corporate-crisis drama with the same cool, adult seriousness: professional competence, private dread, and careers suddenly exposed as far more fragile than they appeared.

For its sleek corporate world and mature moral tension. It follows a capable professional whose polished career cannot keep personal compromise and institutional pressure at bay.

A more urgent companion to The Company Men’s recession-era disillusionment, examining financial precarity and compromised ambition through a grounded, tense, character-first lens.
