Why this pick
Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson’s first mismatched-partner adventure has the same buoyant blend of period comedy, inventive martial-arts stunts, Western playfulness, and affectionate buddy banter.
Why this pick
Another lively Jackie Chan period romp: globe-spanning escapades, broad comic energy, physical ingenuity, and a deliberately anachronistic sense of fun echo Shanghai Knights’ breezy tone.
Why this pick
Pairs Jackie Chan’s agile physical comedy with a fish-out-of-water spy premise, delivering gadget-led action and light, playful banter rather than hard-edged danger.
Why this pick
Its central culture-clash partnership lets Jackie Chan’s precise stunt comedy bounce off a fast-talking Western counterpart, with the same easygoing action-comedy momentum.
Why this pick
A colorful, good-natured treasure chase with escalating brawls, eccentric villains, and a reluctant partnership; it shares Shanghai Knights’ muscular action wrapped in cartoon-bright adventure.
