Why this pick
Like Ratter, it turns everyday webcams and online contact into an unnervingly intimate surveillance nightmare, using screen-mediated perspective to steadily strip away the protagonist’s sense of safety.
Why this pick
Its digitally invasive premise and anxious, close-up perspective echo Ratter’s fear of losing control over one’s image, privacy, and identity online.
Why this pick
This is an especially close match for Ratter’s voyeuristic discomfort: a woman’s life is observed through covert cameras, making ordinary domestic moments deeply threatening.
Why this pick
It trades hacked devices for a possible real-world stalker, but shares Ratter’s isolated young-woman viewpoint, creeping self-doubt, and patient escalation of paranoia.
Why this pick
A tightly claustrophobic stalking thriller centered on a woman whose fear is repeatedly dismissed; its subjective unease and stripped-down immediacy fit Ratter’s anxious mood.
