Why this pick
Like Moon, it finds melancholy and moral weight in a solitary worker’s life inside a sealed space habitat, using restrained science fiction to make isolation and corporate indifference deeply personal.
Why this pick
A remote research facility, an intensely lonely protagonist, and an identity-focused mystery make this a close tonal companion to Moon’s intimate, controlled sci-fi unease.
Why this pick
Its low-budget, dialogue-led speculative premise shares Moon’s confidence in ideas over spectacle, gradually turning an initially ordinary setting into an unsettling inquiry about identity and humanity.
Why this pick
This spare bunker thriller echoes Moon’s clean, enclosed visual world and mounting distrust, building ethical tension around artificial intelligence, institutional control, and what it means to be human.
Why this pick
A small-scale, clever sci-fi puzzle driven by one man’s obsessive attempt to control an impossible situation; it shares Moon’s economical storytelling and growing unease around repeated selves.
