Why this pick
A sharply observed divorce drama centred on children caught between flawed parents; its domestic details, emotional awkwardness, and shifting parent-child loyalties echo Kramer vs. Kramer’s unsentimental honesty.

Its separation unfolds through everyday pressures rather than melodrama, with competing parental responsibilities and moral perspectives creating the same quietly escalating, devastating emotional tension.
Why this pick
This shares the intimate scale and compassion of Kramer vs. Kramer: a dissolving marriage becomes a painful negotiation over parenthood, conveyed through precise performances and emotionally exposed scenes.
Why this pick
