01
Kung Fury
Why this pick
Like Hundreds of Beavers, it commits completely to handmade-looking, hyperactive absurdity, escalating one hero’s ridiculous quest through dense visual gags and gleefully artificial action.

02
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
Why this pick
Its deadpan faux-vintage filmmaking, bargain-basement effects, and lovingly sustained nonsense make it a close companion for Beavers’ sincere dedication to elaborate silliness.
03
The Greasy Strangler
Why this pick
This is similarly uncompromising DIY surreal comedy: repetitive gags, boldly artificial design, and a peculiar internal logic that becomes funnier through total commitment.
04
The Adventures of Mark Twain
Why this pick
Its tactile stop-motion world and surreal episodic imagination offer a gentler but equally handcrafted route into bizarre visual invention and old-fashioned comic adventure.
05
The Villain
Why this pick
A live-action cartoon Western built around silent-era-style chases, indestructible slapstick, and broad physical gags—an apt match for Beavers’ frontier spoof and visual storytelling.
