Why this pick
A similarly maximal, color-saturated revenge nightmare: lurid visuals, outrageous antagonists, deliberate escalation, and cathartic grindhouse brutality.
Why this pick
Its retro-future wasteland, practical gore, absurd villains, and sincere underdog heart make it a close tonal cousin to Jason Eisener’s exuberant grindhouse style.
Why this pick
For the taste in aggressively tasteless midnight-movie excess: it offers grotesque characters, synthetic neon aesthetics, deadpan absurdity, and gleeful bad-taste comedy.
Why this pick
A filthy, anarchic cult splatter film centered on homeless people in a decaying city, with abrasive humor and practical effects that fit the same grindhouse appetite.

A hobo arrives by boxcar in the city of Hope Town, its welcome sign reading "Scum Town". The city is brutally ruled over by a crime lord named "The Drake" and his sadistic sons Ivan and Slick. The Hobo sees an amateur film Filmmaking shooting a ''Bumfights''-style movie. A bloodied man, Logan, the Drake's younger brother, screams for help. The Drake and his sons arrive and, labeling him a traitor to the townspeople, publicly decapitation him with a barbed-wire noose.
