Why this pick
The same gleefully tasteless, homemade-musical sensibility: deadpan sincerity, cartoonish violence, wildly inappropriate songs, and a proudly low-budget comic escalation.
Why this pick
Its cheerful family musical numbers collide with corpses, melodrama, and absurd genre detours, matching Cannibal!’s exuberant refusal to keep horror, sentiment, and silliness separate.
Why this pick
A knowingly ridiculous slasher musical that treats theatrical showstoppers and bloody mayhem as equally essential, with broad characters and an enthusiastically messy comic tone.
Why this pick
Its campy songs, lusty horror pastiche, audience-participation spirit, and wholehearted commitment to nonsense make it a natural companion for Cannibal!’s cult-musical energy.
Why this pick
Not a musical, but its frantic slapstick gore, escalating absurdity, and live-action-cartoon physical comedy share Cannibal!’s love of pushing grotesque material into delirious fun.

01 / THE STORY
The film begins with a Historical reenactment of the gruesome events of cannibalism as described by the prosecuting attorney during Alferd Packer's trial in 1883. Packer insists that things happened differently than what has been recounted, and begins to tell his story to journalist Polly Pry through Flashback (narrative) ("Shpadoinkle").
