01 / THE STORY
In 1969, seven strangers meet by chance at the El Royale, a rundown hotel staffed by a single employee, uniquely located on the border between California and Nevada. Ten years earlier, stolen goods had been hidden in one of its rooms, and now someone seems determined to recover them. Among the guests are a mysterious priest, a talented singer seeking her big break, an intrusive salesman, and a rebellious young hippie, each carrying a secret they cannot reveal. But the El Royale is far more than just a hotel—behind its walls lies a web of surveillance, lies, and mysteries. With the arrival of a charismatic and ruthless leader, what begins as an ordinary night turns into a deadly game of survival. Old sins resurface, unlikely alliances form, and every decision could be their last. As buried truths come to light, each guest must confront a single question: how far are they willing to go to save themselves or claim what they desire?
