Why this pick
This warm Taipei charmer shares the original’s colorful, lightly offbeat city energy and belief that unexpected connections can transform an ordinary routine.
Why this pick
Like Au Revoir Taipei, it turns shy romantic yearning into a buoyant, delicate urban fairy tale, using modest gestures, chance meetings and bright seasonal detail.
Why this pick
For the same polished, youthful Asian-romance sensibility, this pairs city glamour with sincere emotional longing and a relationship that develops through tentative everyday intimacy.
Why this pick
Its immigrant-city romance has more emotional sweep, but the chance encounters, pop-inflected warmth and sense that love is found amid bustling urban movement align beautifully.
