Why this pick
Its mission-log realism, isolated crew dynamic, and steadily tightening extraterrestrial dread closely echo Apollo 18, while treating the space expedition with a more sober, plausible texture.
Why this pick
Another contained, doomed-feeling planetary mission, built around a small crew, hostile silence, procedural pressure, and fear emerging far from any possible rescue.
Why this pick
If Apollo 18’s recovered-footage approach appealed, this assembles recordings, reports, and surveillance imagery into an escalating outbreak nightmare with similarly official-looking unease.
Why this pick
This found-footage mystery shares Apollo 18’s pseudo-documentary framing and gradual sense that fragmentary recordings are exposing something deeply wrong.
Why this pick
A news crew’s underground investigation delivers the same low-budget, recovered-media immediacy: confined spaces, dwindling certainty, and a patient climb from curiosity to panic.
