Why this pick
Like Georgia’s diary-sized disasters, it finds sharp comedy and real tenderness in an awkward teen heroine whose intense crushes, family embarrassments, and friendship troubles feel like the end of the world.
Why this pick
A warm, exuberant school comedy about an insecure teenager surviving humiliations, bullies, and a massive crush; its sincere heart and gleeful adolescent embarrassment closely suit the tone of Georgia’s world.
Why this pick
This British boarding-school romp shares the candy-coloured style, chaotic romantic schemes, and affectionate focus on girls learning that friendship matters more than becoming effortlessly cool.
Why this pick
Its endearing, clumsy heroine turns public embarrassment and a seemingly impossible makeover into buoyant wish-fulfilment, with the same playful warmth beneath the teen-comedy chaos.
Why this pick
For the swoony, British-accented side of the favourite, this follows messy friendships and near-missed romance with a breezy comic touch and affection for impulsive, imperfect choices.
