Why this pick
Pairs A Company Man’s polished Korean hitman world with a similarly restrained, wounded protagonist whose quiet isolation gives way to exceptionally tense, hard-hitting action.
Why this pick
A sleek, melancholy crime noir about an impeccably controlled enforcer undone by a personal choice, matching the fatalistic mood, corporate loyalty, and tailored visual style.
Why this pick
For the escalating sense of entrapment and relentless pursuit: this is a grittier, more desperate Korean contract-killer thriller with visceral tension rather than cool detachment.
Why this pick
Another emotionally burdened assassin story, balancing sombre remorse, a fraught connection with a civilian, and sharply choreographed action in an urban Korean setting.
Why this pick
A more propulsive but still stylish Korean variation on the professional-killer premise, centered on a disciplined man forced back into violence after trying to maintain an ordinary life.

01 / THE STORY
Hyeong-do (So Ji-sub) wears a suit and tie like any other rank-and-file white-collar worker... except his profession is a hitman. Seemingly a section chief in the sales division of a metal fabrication company that is actually a front for an organization of hit men, Hyeong-do is regarded as one of the best contract killers in the business and is up for promotion soon. One day, he meets a single mother named Mi-yeon (Lee Mi-yeon) and instantly falls in love. Feeling guilty about his bloody past, Hyeong-do tries to quit the "manufacturer" to the surprise of his colleagues and his enemies. Seen as a loose end, he is immediately hunted down by his former employers.
