Why this pick
Like 964 Pinocchio, it turns bodily transformation and urban alienation into a relentless black-and-white sensory assault, with raw DIY textures and almost no relief from its escalating nightmare.
Why this pick
Fukui's own follow-up shares the same abrasive cyberpunk physiology, unstable identity, and industrial-noise intensity, but channels them through a claustrophobic experiment in control and perception.
Why this pick
Its hyperactive monochrome photography, damaged urban energy, and electrically charged human bodies make it a compact, punk-adrenaline companion to 964 Pinocchio's feverish physicality.
Why this pick
It replaces cybernetic horror with brutal intimacy, yet preserves the same fixation on bodies pushed past recognition, Tokyo's oppressive texture, and a jagged, punishing emotional rhythm.
Why this pick
A grimy industrial-cyberpunk nightmare in which noise, corporate control, and altered perception collide; its underground texture and anti-authoritarian audiovisual aggression closely fit Fukui's world.
